Always remember to scan your computer regularly with the latest Anti Virus software. Keep your Firewall switched on at all times for more protection from hackers. If you do run any open sources make sure that you update them regularly.
Be careful when letting somebody else use your computer, even friends. Hackers are friends of somebody.
